A Visit From The Beyond?

I always thought cardinals bring good luck but when I looked it up a few days ago I discovered it meant it's a visit from someone who has passed on. Well, early this morning a cardinal flew in the tree right in front of me. It flapped its wings a few times as if to get my attention then flew away. I don't know if it's true what I read about the cardinal but I would like to believe it is. There are so many relatives who have passed away I don't know who it would be. Maybe my Mom or Grandmother or maybe even Bella visited to wish me a Happy Mother's Day.

I’m sure it was your mom. My mother and father welcomed us back to Connecticut on Tuesday.

@DianneN I completely understand. I've had a cardinal visit several times since and now I talk to it, wondering who it is.

I would like to think so as I was surely thinking of her. What a great feeling it must have been for your mother and father to welcome you home!

Of course they bring good luck, why they the best team in baseball. You know what is funny I think I have seen like two in my life in the wild. JJ has shown more pictures of them Than I have seen and I was born in Missouri.

That is strange that you haven't seen that many cardinals. The only place I've never seen any was when we live in Vegas. It's probably too hot there for them. I did see tons of pigeons though.

We don't seem to get cardinals down here but we do get plenty of bluebirds!

I just read about bluebirds and when you see one, it's supposed to bring you joy, prosperity, and happiness and remind you of the beauty of nature.

Yes I have heard this my entire life. My Dad always loved these birds. I only started seeing them after he passed. I believe!

I had not heard either of these beliefs before, they are such a stunning looking bird you are lucky to have one come visit you.

They are quite beautiful. We have two pairs that are close by but we don't see them that often.

@simone10 I was fortunate to see and photograph one of these lovely birds on a visit to my daughter who lives in America. This little chap was sitting on the railings of my daughters deck

Maybe it's too cold in Canada? What kind of birds do you normally see?

I wonder how these beliefs start? However, there is nothing bad about thinking this and it can be very comforting.

I think cardinals along with blue jays, are some of the prettiest birds.

@simone10 they are so pretty. Blue jays chase all the other birds away from the feeder.

That would be great as I have Cardinals come to my feeder each day for peanuts and seeds. A hello from Mom and Dad would always be welcome
