i hate onions

not only they smell bad and after i eat them i can't wash that taste out of my mouth for maybe a day. i mean, my breath doesn't smell like onions, but i can still feel that taste somehow 
it also makes me cry no matter how far i am from it.
my mom is chopping onions BY THE WINDOW and i'm in another room and my eyes started to burn.
maybe i'm just too sensitive

I always liked onions but started loving them when I came to know that they were rich in Vitamin C

i eat them in salad, but there aren't many other good things about it except it's healthy

I am often lazy and buy onions that have already been sliced for this reason. I love the taste, but the process of cutting them is annoying.

@aureategloom Oh I see. Some wear gloves when cutting vegetables for that reason.

oh i didn't mention that i can't wash that smell off my hands after cutting it. i'm not sure if i like the taste, but i don't like to feel the taste even after i washed my teeth for 3 times

i understand that almost everything is cooked with onions because of that and i don't mind it, i eat it. but i hate these things i mentioned

So when you have something that calls to put onions in it what do you substitute instead of onions? I do not like crying from onions, but, I do like them in salads and other tings I make.

@Hannihar i don't know, maybe because almost everything is made with a little bit of onions in it, so i can't avoid it

my mom says "omg you're going to starve on your own" or "how are you supposed to cook for your children" but i actually can cook *boils eggs* *adds milk in cereal*
