Good afternoon. It is too soon to open salons.
this I believe.Way too soon.I do understand that they have to pay their bills.
How do you social distance. No matter how you work it out.
Not too happy with this. Will see how this work out.
Mike is going for his much needed haircut. But they will not do his beard.
Yes I believe it is too soon. Here Mike is lucky. One customer at a time with an appt. But still do not like it.
Salons and Barber shop are non essential vanity and cannot social distance.
Yes I think that it is too soon to open up.

By opening up, we can find out who is right about this. But I agree they are hardly essential not not like closed dental offices.

Our dental offices are open though only 3 days a week--it seems many patients cancelled appointments--not me--I have to take care of my million dollar smile!!

I agree with you, it is too early for salons and barbers to open up.
They have such close contact, and they are sitting ducks if someone comes in that is carrying the virus, then they will pass it on to all of their clientele that they see after.

I went and got a pedicure yesterday, and they won't let you in without a mask. In addition, they make you wash your hands as soon as you walk inside. They sit people six feet apart, and there were only four people in there. I had more social distancing there than I get at the grocery store.

My hair just keeps getting longer but I won't be going to a salon just yet. It's not worth the risk.

I figure people can decide for themselves if they want/need to open their businesses, essential or not. The employees can decide if they want/need to go back to work and the customers can decide if they want/need the service or product.
What I don't figure is having overlords telling us what we 'must' do and arresting people.

The problem is what you decide affects everyone you come in contact with and it could kill your grandmother or someone with an underlying condition. We are all connected and what one person does can hurt innocent people who don't deserve to die. we stay in out of love. I am not a fan of big government either but this is so much more than that.

@Namelesss I do understand that but and it is a big but if you get it you will never know how many people you infect and who they infect. It is just not worth risking it, even young people are dying. We do need to open businesses but extra care needs to be taken and no large gatherings.

@amadeo My client hasn't had her hair done in a month, she can hardly wait. I think when she goes I might go home early.

@amadeo I don't care who is or isn't happy but I need to get out and pick up some things. Otherwise, I won't ever be able to move again becoming completely stiff.

We have a private barber here in Gateway and she only will do one person at a time and disinfects after every customer---I am hoping she will be opening Monday--if not I will take Santa Claus's job!!
You don't cut Mike's hair??? What are partners for?!?!?

t's still not safe to go into salons; it's better to wait till there's no more virus infestation.

If it would be a disaster, then again we will come back to square one. I understand the need. Bit this is so wrong in so many ways. Safety before money or there may not be another opportunity for money. Choose wisely business minds. Stay blessed.

One could say that dentists are non essential too, unless you have a real problem with your teeth, that causes pain, I think you can stand without going to the dentist for a little while longer. Why do you think check ups are like every six months. Doctors surgeries need to be open, yet again it's difficult for a doctor to examine you from a two metre distance.
Yeah I can see how hair dressers, barbers are seen as non essential, yet with every ones mental health disturbed by this scary time, a hair cut does wonders for feeling better. Though yes they can go a little while longer at home. One hair dresser I heard of was selling home kits of hair dye mixed by her and posted to her clients. I am no longer a massage therapist, not due to covid19 I am retail now and have been for 4 years now. But the physiotherapy centre I used to work has had to close down, if you have an injury, chronic illness etc... I believe it's important for then to be open. And massage is not just for vanity it's also for health reasons. I posted on Instagram a self massage lesson so there are always things we can do instead.
