Walking in the Pool

Another week and still nothing much going on in our life. We walk in the pool, do online exercise, went to play cards with Al's brother one afternoon and that is it.
Yesterday we ordered Italian food from one of our favorite restaurants. They have not opened up for in dining room customers. I felt safe there, on the door it said only one person in at a time. We picked up our dinner and went home to eat.
I hope you all had a great mother's day. Mine was quiet, we picked up lunch from the club. I know that sounds like I don't cook but it isn't so, I cook all the time.
Today I had an order delivered from Publix and then realized I didn't get milk so I made another order from Aldi's to get the milk. OMG, the milk was $2 cheaper a gallon and the clementines I ordered were $3 cheaper for the same exact bag. That paid for the delivery.
I have been busy writing and not much else. I haven't started any other major cleaning projects, we do need to steam the carpets.
We finished up some leftovers for dinner. I have thawed out chicken for tomorrow, I am not quite sure what I am going to make with it yet, maybe country fried.
So how is your shelter in place going? The photo is Jack at Kanapaha in February before the world went crazy.

Most in our area are home because their work is closed. Those who do have to go to work (shouldn't they all be considered essential if they HAVE TO GO OUT DURING THIS TIME) have stories to tell about people not wanting to follow the rules!
Adults behaving badly--Yes, we have a few in the area.

I wear my mask when I go out, my grandson have to work in a factory, they do defense work and it is considered essential. I guess we see the results every time there is a flare-up of people attending parties and not social distancing. That birthday party in California resulted in a whole bunches of cases.

@BelleStarr Many people don't listen, no matter what the situation is. We see adults in stores with all their little ones, no protection whatsoever. Couldn't one adult stay home with the children and one adult get what is needed.

I was shocked, I knew Aldi was a little cheaper because of the off brands but this was a real brand.

I think my water aerobics days are over for quite a long, long time. The community where the classes were held has closed its public pool for the summer. So we keep on, getting in some exercise by gardening, turning the water on for the hoses- that involves a walk to the spigot- and pulling hoses. I need to get mowing behind the back yard soon.

I can send you a link to our senior exercise online on Youtube. It is our teacher from at home Kitch. Our pool is private that is why it is open.

@BelleStarr Thank you. I don't dare do much outside of the water. I am doing some leg lifts and other back stretches, though.

What a cool playground, sounds like your making good time of your quarantine days. I love Aldi's, they have great prices there. Thats funny, I took chicken out for tomorrow as well with no clue what I will do with it. I have started buying rotisserie chickens at Sams club (they're cheaper and bigger there) shred them and freeze them. So much easier to unthaw a bag when I need it for a meal.

The shelter in place for me is okay since I only leave the home to either cash my inboxdollarrs check once a month or visit my cardiologist and eye doctors.

We are doing ok--I have been looking for some writing work--but there is not a lot out there--Other than that, I am teaching a couple of Zoom voice lessons here and there--and just trying to move forward--Glad you are doing well!

I even had Schwann deliver Thursday, I order a bunch of side, rice pilaf, roasted sweet potatoes, and more. I have plenty of food and supplies now. Jack has been doing okay, he is a little clingy but he and his mom do pretty well.

It's the same here with our local restaurants, only pick up and only one person at a time inside, I think it's safe and we can avoid to cook time by time.
I love Aldi I order a lot of things from them, I had fresh apricots yesterday and they cost less than a half than in another local store.
Beautiful photo of Jack. We stay at home and we feel well and safe.

Hi, our restaurants are take away only too, but our Aldi doesn’t deliver food [em]suspicious[/em. I did go food shopping in there today though, it was fairly quick no queue outside, and not too busy inside.

I get delivery from a delivery service. The people go in and shop at Aldis for me, Aldi's doesn't have anything to do with it except to set the prices. It's called Instacart.

We are all making the best of life right now.
We are on our on second week of self quarantine and just thrilled to be home. CT and MA are still closed, and I’m all for that.
If we returned to Florida tomorrow, we’d have to quarantine, too. Imagine that!![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)

Yes, I have ordered from Big Y for Kasey from Instacart and it was good. Have done Stop and Shop too and she did BJs. It all really depends on which shopper gets your order, the two I had today were both good. Some don't communicate at all just do whatever they want. But I really only had the one bad one out of maybe 10 deliveries. That's pretty good odds. I am so jealous, I want to be in CT but I do enjoy being able to go to the pool here. ![](/Content/images/emotes/hugs.gif)

@BelleStarr Unfortunately, Stop and Shop doesn’t do it. They only do Peapod, which is booked up. My son has been picking up things for us when he shops. He’s been too kind to us.
I refused to go in the pool with the covidiots when our pool opened two weeks ago.
I feel very safe in my home, yard, and walking through the woods and in our neighborhood now.

That is what is so scary, so many just won't be careful. I can't take a chance, I am healthy but Al has Parkinson's and a heart murmur and I wouldn't endanger him.

I thought that looked like Jack, he looks like such a loveable little boy.
They are trying to slowly open up Ontario.
This week a few of the hardware stores that only had curbside are open as are the garden center nurseries. Some nurseries, mostly the family-owned ones, are not opening as they feel its too early. Auto dealerships are open by appointment only as of this week. They are going to open some of the provincial parks this Friday for day-use only. This weekend is our long Victoria Day weekend here in Canada.

We are pretty open as of tomorrow 50% occupancy at restaurants and stores. Not that I am going there even though our county here has not been hard hit but even one case is too much. I am so ready to go home but I don't feel safe yet.

I didn't see Jack in the picture at first glance.
I've not seen you around and now I seem it's almost been a month since you've been here are you doing okay, Iz? I come and go a lot so I understand when we needed a break I hope you are all still healthy and safe and maybe just moving back to CT and busy with that?
I never did find those wipes here that you were looking for. I even asked customers if they've ever seen any and none had.
