I was in the Navy in the 1970's. One of the stops my ship made on the way over seas was midway islands. I have never seen a place so beautiful in my whole life. The water at the pier was crystal clear. We must have been in 60 feet of water or more and you could see the bottom. As I looked around the island from the deck of the ship the water went from dark to to a beautiful blue green. Ever seen it.
