I have been to Vietnam but it was for only three days or so. I did however manage to fit in a one day Mekong Delta Tour and I enjoyed that a lot! The stand outs for me were the thousands of motorcycles, the humidity and best of all the coffee! Some of the best coffee I have ever tasted was in Vietnam!

yeah, i went on the mekong too, and stoped at some little shack to buy candies, and ate lunch at a home on the delta. It was cool seeing all the motorcycles, and most of all crossing the street and not getting hit. They had really great french food there too.

Ive been there once in 98, was great firing an AK47 and going through the vietcong tunnels, amazing how they managed to dig such an intricate tunnel system and always defeat the americans.

I spent three weeks visiting Vietnam, arriving in Hanoi and departing from Saigon. The country was beautiful and I'm still in awe from it. We visited the Ha Long bay, the terrestrial Ha Long, Hue, Nha Trang (which is an incredibly ugly city), Saigon and the delta.
Although Saigon is much bigger, the city hasn't got much for it... It looks just like any big American city that's warm enough to have palm trees growing. Hanoi is a much nicer place, although everyone's asleep incredibly early.
I'd really like to go back one day, but for now, it's way too expensive.
