I love noodle dishes. The other night, I cooked an egg noodle dish. I cooked the whole pack of noodles that I bought which in my estimate almost a half kilo. Other ingredients are pork slices, carrots, dried shrimps called "hibe" by locals, and cabbage for garnishing. When I was done, I realized that it's more than enough for a people of three whom the other one is a kid.

Our friend's grandmother makes pancit for us but I think she uses rice noodles (the clear, thin stuff anyway). This looks so good! Noodles can help to stretch a meal - I love noodles!

I prefer potatoes to noodles. If I never again ate a noodle in my life, I wouldn't be unhappy. I believe you when you say that your dish tastes good. But it's rather monochrome, isn't it? Some colourful ingredient would spice it up a bit.

How do you like your.potato done? I like it fried. I add some carrots but I think it's overpowered by the main ingredient. Chopped spring onions too would add colors but it's not available.

I just can not seem to get round to cooking. Omelettes, yes fine, perhaps pasta -not from scratch. I am a convenience food lover because often I just do not want to take ages to prepare something. when I am hungry i find something that is going to be quick to cook and then I eat. Though I have an urge to want to try to cook nice things, with my chroinc fatigue, I often nap too often and I never get round to doing. One of these days... as i have the time I really need to force myself. I must try to make a fritatta next as its close to an omelette.

I understand that sometimes we are not in the mood to cook but some other.time we need to. Quick.foods are easy to prepare or when time permit, a dinner outside is also good.
