A less than lackluster triple bill. “The Voices” was supposed to be scary and just lame. A sister has returned to her estranged older sister living in the country. The woman is pregnant and the older sister now suffers from mild schizophrenia which caused their mother to commit suicide. The visiting sister begins having hallucinations and you wonder just who is the crazy one. There is a revelation toward the end but the journey is a dull one getting there. The British “The Bad Nun” is a mysterious figure shrouded in a habit killing young woman. How stupid can a woman be to go meet a strange guy at the guy’s place. A young woman goes to an isolated b&b to get her head together and some nun keeps banging on the door to be let in. It was telegraphed a mile away who is in the habit. Another dull journey leaving the conclusion anti-climatic. Even the Scott Adkins action picture “Savage Dog” was less than. Sure, plenty of fights but the story was so thin. The setting is 1959 Indochine (Vietnam) when the French are bailing out as things are heating up. Adkins plays an Irishman wanted by the Brits for IRS activities and hiding out in the jungles. Not exactly free as he has been in prison for three years and doing prison fights. Even after gaining freedom, he continues fighting for the rogues running the show. The fights are pretty repetitious after awhile. The plot dissolves into a long blazing guns revenge. Was it a wicked or weird Wednesday for you?

I always love seeing a favorite song referenced in an MST3K episode. This time around, it was “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” by Pink Floyd.

You're better than me, I doubt I'd would managed to get half way through those films. I have been rewatching Flashforward. Still irritated, all these years later, that ABC cancelled it before the conclusion. Makes for a lot of theories about it, though
