Yes, I am blatantly ripping off Lori A. Moore’s series on her favorite zoos. That prompted my thinking about zoos I have visited and realization of how few I have visited despite all my travels and advanced age. I am not particularly enamored of zoos and usually pass on them. Once you have seen a zebra.... Zoos are listed in order in which I visited.
Also known as Zoo de Vincennes. You would think a world capitol like Paris would boast a very old large zoo as its best known. The Parc opened in 1934 and is just 34 acres in size and noted for its artificial rock tower. There was nothing particularly notable about the zoo. There actually is a very old zoo. The tiny La Menagerie du Jardin des Plantes opened in 1794 at a former royal park containing animals from Palace of Versailles in the heart of the city. I only went to Parc and do not recall even being aware of La Menagerie. Missed it somehow. As Paris is or was anyway my favorite city in the world, I tried seeing everything there was to see of interest.
Check out these “grands chats.”

“He went to Paris, looking for answers to zoos that bothered him so.”
Who goes to Paris for the zoo?

@JohnRoberts Were you allowed to walk through the whole "house"? Was it spectacular?
