That statement was from a person that wants to be a psychologist...
A lot of my friends do have issues with depression but I never have felt like I am "putting up with" their sh*t. It saddens me that this person would even say "IDK how you put up with peoples depressive sh*t all the time"
My friends aren't always depressive... That's not how it works... And I don't put up with them... If I were just putting up with them then I wouldn't be a real friend or support...

One of the things about friendships is that we put up with the bad as well as the good. Wait, that didn't come out right. I mean we accept our friends just how they are, whether it's good or bad. We all have faults. We all have issues. We all various degrees of emotional states. We wouldn't be good friends if we just stopped liking someone just because they are have a sh*tty day or something.

That's just the thing. We all have our problems, some problems seem more depressive then others. I've been depressed and from that experience I know that it is so good to talk. One of my friends who does suffer quite badly from mental health and is struggling through the pandemic. He appologises for talking about his problems, but the truth is and what I tell him, is that it doesn't bother me. I enjoy deep conversations and as long as he is happy to talk about what he needs to talk about. I'm happy to listen, and I feel good about that. I also vent to him about how I'm doing, and am aware I'm not always feeling 100 % happy as I do suffer with low moods occasionally. I always liked that advert, British telecoms 'its good to talk.' Because it really is true.
