Yes, I am blatantly ripping off Lori A. Moore’s series on her favorite zoos. That prompted my thinking about zoos I have visited and realization of how few I have visited despite all my travels and advanced age. I am not particularly enamored of zoos and usually pass on them. Once you have seen a giraffe.... Zoos are listed in order in which I visited.
Located close by the outstanding World War II Dutch resistance Museum, the Artis Royal Zoo is the best zoo I have ever visited and not for the animals. The zoo opened in 1838 and possesses 27 historical buildings. The aquarium opened in 1882. Great architecture. You soak up the charm of old world atmosphere as you walk through the same structures millions of visitors have for nearly 200 years. Amsterdam is a lovely city with great tourist attractions and the zoo is a good place to visit even if not into animals.

How it looks like? So wonderfull?. I imagine it is so wide zoo. In my city, our zoo is in trouble. Because of the covid 19, the visitors is not as many as usual, the money to take care the animals is decrease. The animal lack of food. How pity

I spent my childhood in the Bronx Zoo which was fantastic and my 30s I lived in Memphis and they were expanding their zoo every year until it became a show place!!
