Good afternoon everyone! We've had a rainy afternoon and it's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow. We also had rain Friday and Saturday. We've had a lot of rain recently so I think we've had enough. I'm going to put my foot down and demand some sunshine .
My brother and I've spent the day cleaning. I'm tired now so I'm relaxing in my recliner while I mylot. We are having pork chops that have been marinating in soy sauce overnight. I'm not sure what sides we are having yet. We are having fresh strawberries with cool whip for dinner. It's all food that's on our diet so we are good. What are you having for dinner tonight?

@LindaOHio I'll have to check and see if I can find ground chicken. Was it dry? Did you have to put anything in it?

@LowRiderX Now when it comes to the heat and I am in it, I lose my appetite too.

@simone10 I get a period when I can't eat, usually when it's very hot, then I could live on a salad

Besides the occasional piece of bacon, I never eat any pork products, I don't like the taste-except for bacon, which the doctor doesn't like me to have.
We had a nice Sunday night supper of bacon wrapped (don't tell my doctor) chicken and scalloped potatoes with some steamed mixed vegetables on the side.

@amitkokiladitya Yes, it does. It keeps my brother from having to cook so much.

I've never marinated pork chops in soy sauce. Does it make them taste salty?
Tonight we're having spaghetti and meatballs with a side of garlic bread.

I know this is a couple of days old, but since I only just saw this..
Today I am having pepper steak. It's a recipe that was my grandmother's. It is not like the version Americans adapted from the Chinese dish. I have yet to find a recipe like it, and honestly I am not sure if I will get my grandmother's recipe just right since I do not have a copy of it.
It involves Cube Steak, Bell Peppers, Onion, whole plum tomatoes, diced tomatoes and tomato puree. A bit of beef broth as well and voila!
It's delicious. We serve it over rice.
