Going To Risk $20

Sometimes I like to do really stupid things with my money. I mean, come on. I am CHEAP. I scrimp all the time on all sort of things. But when it comes to the lottery? My chances are HORRIBLE to actually win. BUT, I am very willing to just throw my money at nothing and take my chances.
So, there is a drawing coming up tomorrow for the Illinois Lotto. The jackpot is $12,250,000. If nobody wins it, it will roll for Wednesday's drawing and will likely be $12,500,000. I figure if I took the lump sum, after taxes I'd get $3.75 million.
I will take that chance.
AND I will do something stupid and play about $20 for the Wednesday drawing.
Heck, we've been stockpiling money during this whole virus thing, and can't really spend on anything discretionary. Might as well just toss a few bucks at THIS.
Besides, I have wasted considerably more money than this in casinos. Might as well just go for broke and see what happens.
Probably nothing. Probably just $20 down the drain. But I will have a little fun with it.
I will do a combination of quick picks and use a random number generator I found online to add to the fun and to help with the picking of some of the numbers.
Here goes nothing.

Good luck. I've been "wasting" $3 per week since 1989. I play the same numbers in each draw of the Ohio Classic Lotto every draw (3x a week).

@LindaOHio Me too. Haven't spent my $20 yet and at this point likely won't. But I have enough tickets. We will see. Gosh, that would be a really fun post to write.

I think that's a wise way to do it. You realize that you likely won't win, but you get some enjoyment from doing it. If you win feel welcome to share some winnings with me lol

@FayeHazel It is always fun to think about what we might do if we suddenly came into massive riches. It would be even more fun to actually have to figure it out. lol

To spend and possibly lose $20 to potentially win millions is not a bad idea. I usually don't play those big jackpot lotteries. I prefer the scratch-off ones as they are fun. Of course, most don't allow you to win millions. But I never win big with them anyway. My winnings are always very small. Sometimes I break even but sometimes I am in the negative.

I know people who bought a lot of tickets at once and did not win anything, I think this is a fraud(

Good luck and I agree we haven’t had anything to spend our spending money on so why not take a chance
