I feel like someone with terminal illness due to my chances of dying due to covid increased, at least this has been my existential thoughts of late. I have worked hard in the past, practicing delayed gratification. But somehow never totally came to that part where I would reap the fruits of my efforts. In my present case, enjoying retirement. I have somewhat neglected immune boost, but my brother has brought some almost ripe guavas. This reminded me I have to take multivitamin. Am I realistic or pessimistic? What are your thoughts of late?

It is hard to stay positive. I have had moments of pessimism and I have had to try different methods to change my thoughts. This evening I made a sweet banana bread although I am not a person who eats too much sweets. It helped. And I am gardening in containers. I want to see something grow.

@yoalldudes I try to make a list of "to do" things. I include a movie and something good to eat.

Pardon me for this comment but I think you are paranoid. That is the result when you are fed with too many false information about the virus. I questioned the spraying of the roads and the vehicles. Now they stopped that spraying not because I questioned it but maybe they got to their senses that the virus doesn't grow on the ground. If you keep your distance then you are safe.

I didnt mention that I am taking meds for anxiety disorder since 2012 so I guess saying that I am paranoid is a bit redundant. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

not knowing what will happen around the world is really scary and it is quite hard to stay positive. But we have to for our own sake and sanity

Well, the world will go on as it always does, the question is whether we will still be in it.

It really is a challenge to stay positive these days. But I am trying to divert my attention by doing things that I enjoy

Since there are no things certain this days, enjoying and be grateful of the present is the best we can do, but of course we need to give extra care of ourselves by boosting our immune system.

It's hard to stay positive with what's going on in the world due to COVID-19. But it helps to talk about it. Hope somehow you're feeling a little better now.

What I put in my mind is as long as I don't get in contact with somebody who has it I won't get it, I think that is much easier to do when a person is retired. Another thing I think about is when it's time to go it's time so better to make the most out of life.

you know, one way to face problems is to go and look around. you will realize that you are still more fortunate than these people. Also.we must accept things that are beyond our control. I went through depression when i was young, but i cured it klmyself without taking any meds. Because worrying won't solve our problems.
