Eaton and the Phillies came to a preliminary agreement on a three-year deal worth more than $24 million, ESPN.com reports.
Recommendation: The deal also includes a mutual option for a fourth year that could bring the total package to more than $33 million. Eaton joins Brett Myers, Cole Hamels, Jamie Moyer and Jon Lieber in what could be one of the better rotations in the league next year. He was limited to 13 starts this year due to finger surgery, and went 7-4 with a 5.12 ERA.
