Are you an impulsive buyer?

When I go to a shopping mall I often get tempted to check for great offers or checkout random things which I have not planned to buy or not on my buy list. I often end up buying them which I hardly use. Impulsive buying often drains our finances leaving less money to buy essentials. People buy impulsively because the displayed objects creates a desire due to the tempting offers, the quality of the product or the features which makes them irresistible. Things like an expensive watch, or a hand bag or an expensive dress are just a few things which I did buy but never used. I learnt an important lesson to avoid impulsive buying and also keep a ' to buy ' list while shopping and never to over purchase. Do you buy impulsively and how was your experience.

I used to be an impulsive buyer. But now I have learnt to value each and every penny that I spend.

@SHOHANA that everyone does but if we can keep a tab on what we're spending then we will be in control.

@dodo19 It's easy to get rid of the habit. You just need to stick the shopping list you prepared at home and avoid getting tempted to offers.

It happens. But only things i'll use later and it's on discount or clearance even though not on the list this time.

@JaneLijie the offers do make us to buy things we don't need it immediately but may be to use it later. As long as the item is not expensive and within our budget and we don't overdo it it is ok .

@JaneLijie yes. The shop owners know very well that most people are tempted by the offer and so keep giving freebies and offers to keep shoppers crowding. when people see a crowd in shop more people join in and impulsive buying starts.
