Our next song trivia series will focus on bad weather....namely "rain." I've had plenty of rain here in New Jersey (USA), going back as far as January, so I thought this song subject would be appropriate. And maybe by doing a rain series it will bring about more sunny weather in my state. Time to get "soaked with some rainy tunes." It can be nice to have an evening rain shower especially a thunderstorm to cool off on a hot summer day. So today's quiz focuses on some nocturnal songs with rain in the title. And to introduce these "Stormy" rain tunes, let's do a "rain dance" with the Classic IV... Hope you enjoyed listening to these guys. Fun fact: 2 members of the Classic IV went on to form another band, The Atlanta Rhythm Section which had a breakthrough hit with "So In to You." And now for our trivia clues. Whodunnit? 1. This Country singer and songwriter achieved a huge crossover hit, with this tune going to #1 on the Pop, Adult Contemporary and Country charts. The song is about the peaceful and cleansing feeling a thunderstorm can bring. Instead of being depressed by the rain the artist felt happy and loves it. He even says in the lyrics, "Showers wash all of my cares away." This songwriter gained success when noneother than Elvis Presley recorded a different song he wrote about rain. He also penned "Pure Love", which Ronnie Milsap rode to number one in 1974. This artist has a funny last name, the same as a mature "bunny." Do you know this Country artist with the unusual last name and his hit song? 2. This singer/songwriter was popular with rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and pop music audiences during the late 1950s and early 1960s. But his career had stalled in the mid-sixties and it took this 1969 ballad about a rainy evening to revive his comeback on the charts. This top ten song from 1969 is an ode to loneliness as the man is outside in the rain with nowhere to go and no woman to love him. In the song it seemed to rain so many evenings that the singer believed it was raining all over the world. The melancholy song was the last big hit for this artist he died in 1988 at age 56. This tune was also covered by Ray Charles. There is the name of a southern state in this rainy song title. Do you know the song and identity of this successful singer, song writer and producer? 3. Video Bonus- The Classic IV had another hit song with a title that made it a very popular tune to play during Halloween. Do you know the name of this song with the eerie whistling sound effect? Ok, don't get caught "in the pouring rain" trying to solve the answers to these song and artist clues. Remember part of the song's name has "rain" in it's title. If your stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. Or, as the band Jefferson Starship would say, you can "Count On Me." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! Until next Saturday... Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com Photo- whatthefaculty.com

@dgobucks226 I had to listen to it to know I've heard it before. I've never seen the movie Every Which Way But Loose. I never heard of Eddie Rabbit. Okay, maybe I do live under a rock.

3. Love the Classics IV. Was it Spooky? The rest I'm clueless on. Especially anything connected with a country singer.
