The Mayor of Nashville announced that beginning on May 25th, live music can return to Nashville. But only two people at a time can be on the stage. And no dancing is allowed on the dance floors.
Also, restaurants and bars that serve food can open at 75% capacity.
This opening will help a lot of businesses. Especially with this holiday weekend. Monday is Memorial Day.
There may be lots of visitors to the city. I hope everyone will be safe.
Many events have been canceled, like other cities. Eventually I hope to see things return.
There will be a different way of doing business for everyone to get used to.

@CarolDM Yeah, I hope so. Regardless, I am sure it will be more open than this state. The news had something a couple of weeks ago about Bristol, which is divided down the line, one side VA, and one side TN. The Tn side was open and the VA side..not...

It will be nice to have live music again. I sure do miss it. And I don't care what genre it is, but whatever the first concert that comes back to our area, I'm going! I need my live music fix! LOL

Yes, it will be slow going at first, but maybe in time restrictions will ease. They opened the boardwalks in my area. Beaches are open with restrictions. Stores are open, but outdoor service only.

@CarolDM I see many of the young people congregating on the news. Common sense among some is not so "common."

Hooray! I guess something like the Grand Ole Opry they can put the band in plexiglass the way the drummer is.

@JWMILLER -- their "record of consecutive Saturday nights" is a myth. The Opry didn't take place on April 8, 1968 because of the curfew in light of Rev. King's assassination.

We love about 50 miles from Nashville. Opry has been doing special hour long sessions without audieni to keep the record of consecutive Saturday nights going. I have not heard any date for opening with an audience

We live about 50 miles away and feel that they are too early

It's good that something is happening, it's good that things are getting better
