I came across another site for writing assignments and I thought why not try it I need to find a more permanent writing job for June. So I filled out the application and did whatever they asked and got to the part about a copy of my diploma. I explained that I received my diploma in 1981 and that since that time I also moved to Latvia and then back again and who knows where it is now or if I even still have it. So I was informed that my writing was really of no importance what was of importance was the copy of my diploma. So no copy no chance to join the writing site. I say I think that is not fair it is not like I just graduated yesterday or last year.

That sounds a little shady. Do you mind my asking what site this was for? Your writing should most certainly count.

@RasmaSandra I've never heard of that one. Can't understand why they want a copy of education beyond high school. I have that; but I would be reluctant to give them a copy.

That's nuts. You weren't trying to join a big firm like the New York TImes?

You made me laugh that would certainly be ambitious of me and the NY Times would not even let me through the front door @sallypup I do have one place I might look for the diploma so I will tomorrow but if it is not there I cannot waste time searching everywhere

That is the first time I heard asking about a diploma from a writing site. They should have asked you instead of the links of your articles you have written online.

They asked for my CV, gave an English grammar test, question quiz on plagiarism and that diploma oh, yes, and a short article to write @thelme55

That seems unfair. I'm sorry you lost that chance.

I don't have any idea where my diploma is either. I graduated in 1974 and I've moved more times than I can count.

Wow, I'm really surprised they asked for a copy of your diploma. What they really should be asking for is a copy of some of your writing to use as examples to show what kind of work you can do. Sorry that you weren't not able to join that site.

Oh, no! That’s an odd thing to request. Usually they want grades, etc. for jobs. So sorry you lost that writing opportunity.

That's a shame you can't write for the site because you can't find your diploma.
