Taking a break

We have sun today, you know what that means? It means I am outdoors. Mostly mowing, and trying to kill poison ivy. I feel good when I get to be outside. So glad the pesky rain is gone for now. Other good news. Hubby finally called the mechanic to ask why we had not gotten our bill for the towing. They decided not to bill us, as we spent so much money on the repair, or maybe because it took them so long. We were going to turn it in to our insurance, so they will be happy as well. It was a $200 towing bill. Okay, back to work. Have a wonderful day.

Yikes, $200 for towing????? That's really high. I'm so glad you won't be charged.

Yes, he was the highest we have ever heard. We have used our towing insurance a lot and it is usually $75.

At least that sounds reasonable @GardenGerty but to me $75 seems steep considering the last time I needed a tow, back some years ago, I paid $35.

I pay for CAA here yearly and it covers 2 or 3 tows a year. Luckily for me we havent had to pay for a tow but most places here are expensive because the distance to the nearest repair shop is quite far.

That's very nice of them not to charge it! I mowed out back yard yesterday. It was beautiful out. Today we will haul dirt to the new garden plots.

Sounds like a great plan. My back yard is grossly overgrown. I keep up with the front and do what I can back there when I can.

@GardenGerty I was absolutely tickled when he decided to create them on wedensday. We got all the dirt hauled into them yesterday afternoon. Now we will add stakes to the side that I can attach Clear painter's drop cloths to create a greenhouse on the cheap.

I mowed this morning while it spit rained on me. Had to get it done, heavier rains moving in later this evening. Grass was so tall, needed it badly. Glad the shop didn't bill you for the tow. That was nice of them

Parts of my back have not been mowed in ages. I try especially hard to keep up with the front and sides that people see. Yes, we kept having rain and fronts move through one after the other. I will mow some more today.
