I think they can do it this year. I like that they are struggling a little bit in the regular season so they can be a little tougher when adversity comes there way in the post season for a change!

After the game against Tennessee I feel the need to post again. First, why is it that every time the Colts play a decent team they don't get a home game?! WTH!!! They played Dallas on Dallas's field, Denver on Denver's field, the Patriot's on the Patriot's field, and Tennessee on their home field as well. Doesn't this seem a little bit unfair to anyone else?
As for their super bowl hopes, I don't think it's going to happen. They just don't have it this year. After losing on Sunday, I just feel as if they are starting to die off now, their time on top has passed. Or maybe it's just Monday and I'm being pessimistic. I hope that's the case. (I would really like Manning to get at least ONE super bowl win.)

I know, their defense is disappointing. Their offensive line is starting to make me upset as well. I still have that moment in the Dallas game when Manning stood up and told his offensive line "Hey, they are going to try and sack me" before he started the play and ... he got sacked. You can't make it much more obvious than that - and he even TRIED to protect himself. But nothing. It was so frustrating.

First of all, when the schedule was set like 5 years ago, no one knew that these were going to be games against tough teams. You just don't know. Heck, Dallas was in swan dive before the change to Romo, so who even knew it was going to be tough at the beginning of the season. And the Titans are not a good team this year. So that argument is going, going, gone. Just like that 60 yard field goal.
Second, even if they KNEW these teams would be tough, they are not as tough as the Colts can be. So, it was done in the interest of parity. Put the good team at a slight disadvantage so that they are equal in playing then see what happens.
Third, Manning has got to figure out the pass rush. It has been his nemesis for years. One sportswriter figured it would make him so jumpy he would just start taking a dive every time he heard footsteps. Thankfully not that bad yet. But, other teams ain't stupid. They know rushing Manning confuses him. So, guess what, they rush.
Although to be far. What the hell is the defense doing? Manning can't win the darn thing all by himself. He can put points on the board all day long, but if the D lets the other team do the same, the COlts are going to lose a few close ones.

To be honest, I wouldn't count on it. I love the Colts, as you can see from my avatar, but a co-worker told me a joke the other day. He said "Do you know why Peyton Manning's never been asked to be on the Wheatie's box?" And I said "No, why". He then said "Because everytime he gets in a bowl he chokes". So true. Every time Peyton makes it post season he chokes, and it's so frustrating. He is such a good quarter back.
Don't even get me started on the Dallas game. It was so frustrating to watch Manning tell his offensive line that they were going to try and sack him - and his offensive line do nothing. He KNEW it was coming and yet he did all he could. I was extremely disappointed in our offensive line that day.

That reminds me of an old joke about the late Bo Schembechler. I heard it when I was growing up in Michigan and he was still the coach at Michigan. The joke was "Why does Bo's wife always serve his cereal on a plate? Because Bo always loses the bowl." For years, I always asked my day on New Year's Day if Bo got to eat his cereal out of a bowl this year. My dad was very happy the year he could say, yes.

If your Colts want to make it to the Superbowl this year they better figure out how to stop the running game of other teams. Jacksonville just annihilated your defense with tons of running yards. Not even Peyton can overcome that. My Eagles have the same problem as your team. They can not stop the run either but there is still time for both of our teams to get our defenses fixed.

I hear ya. Not only do they need to stop the run but they need to be sure to get some rushing yards themselves. Addai looked great against the eagles but mediocre most other weeks. With Peyton throwing 75% of the time and the rushing defense playing like a high school team it could be one and done in the playoffs again this year.

They seem to be doing okay. But anytime that runs the same defense that Dallas does will confuse them. Not sure if Peyton can get them through to the big one this year. But, then, I don't know who else from the AFC can do it either. Don't even get me started on the NFC. This is one weird year.

I think you are right; it is finally the Colt's year. I'm saying saying they are going to win the super bowl, but they will at least make it that far.

Not a bad bounce back weekend! Although it didn't really look like the Cincy team that has been playing the past few weeks, but then again neither did the Colts... I predicted SD to make it to the Super Bowl about the time you put this post up, so I think I'm in better shape than you!
Do you, as a Colts fan, think Peyton is doing too many commercials? I'll give it to him some are funny, but I think he went overboard maybe it's affecting his play, naw, just kidding!

Well, they lost 3 last year. Maybe they already lost their 3 for the year and will be hot going into the playoffs. WIth luck, they will sit down, figure out what they need to do and tighten up as a team. The problem with that is, while they are all have a great work ethic and there are no divas, they are not a "close" team. You know Tom Brady goes out to dinner with the guys. Mannning doesn't. I think that makes a difference when the going gets tought.

Man I hope so. They have come a long way. They are a great football team.
