Well, as I believe I said in one of my more recent discussions, it has been a long time since I've talked about what I've been reading. I'm not sure I'll offer reviews like I once did. The book in the title is one that I have not yet read, though I believe someone here once suggested the author to me.
I'll leave a link to the goodreads page for the book for any of those interested in learning what it is about. It's in my queue of books to read, but I may find something else to read first. When I go to goodreads, I see that readers who have read this book also enjoy one of the Simone St. James books that I have yet to read, though I own a copy of it.
There is also a few books from authors that I'd like to re-read. These authors include Jeff Menapace, Darcy Coates and Ambrose Ibsen. All three of which write horror / thriller / haunted house type stories.
Regardless of the platform (books, television, podcasts) do you like a good thriller?
You can't choose your family, but sometimes they're all that's standing between you and utter darkness. Martin Gable is a boy becoming a...

Thrillers / horror is sort of an interchangeable word for me. What do you consider thrillers?

@ScribbledAdNauseum Stuff that is thrilling but not scary like "It", "The Nun", "Annabelle", etc... I hate to jump every 2 minutes watching a horror film.

I'm happier now that I am reading again. I took weeks off thinking it would help me not get distracted with writing, but all it did was stifle it.
I'm sure you'll get back to reading eventually, we all need breaks away from it from time to time.

Yes, I love that about them. I love the ones that make me a bit scared as well.

@vsai2008 Oh yes! They definitely do. I used to read a subreddit full of terrifying stories, but I do not do that very often anymore. There are highly creative writers out there that no just how to scare a person.

Hi there. Looking at the type of person books you read, does it suggest the category of the books you write?
Been a while since I read a book. Short stories yes I have been reading a lot of them.
I was considering reading something different like the old stories by Mario Puzo just one or two

Nope, it does not suggest it at all. I actually read several different genres, though I tend to exhaust one genre before moving on to the next.
