Just as yesterday’s song by Billy Joel was more than a little appropriate for the times in which we live, today’s country song with “home” in the title might be something that makes you feel better...or long for something that we’ve lost. And at least you know the artist!
#2: My Tennessee Mountain Home - Dolly Parton
Life is as peaceful as a baby’s sigh
Ah....wouldn’t you like to go somewhere where that’s true?
One of Dolly’s great hits (about the foothills of the Smokies, where she grew up, and not about her chest ), the simplicity of country life is detailed so finely you can almost smell the honeysuckle, hear the crickets, and see the June bugs.
What a song. What a need for right now.

@FourWalls I really like Dolly. Her singing voice is amazing, her talking voice is so awesome (love the accent I mean) and I've seen her in a few movies and think she's a good actress too.
I'm still listening to the song now but thank you for sharing. Great listen!

Don't know this one. Her songs are always so descriptive of her life.

i think i first remember her in the movie 9 to 5. After that I was a fan. Amazing voice, but more importantly a better person all the way around!
