The local protest is currently occurring in the downtown area. There is a live video of it on the local Facebook page. It is pretty big but it is entirely peaceful. The whole antifa thing was total crap. I figured that was the case. Members of the local police department led the march through downtown and carried a banner that said "we are with you". I thought that was very cool.

They are publicly smearing the police force, in every way possible. Most of what's being told is lies!

Doesn't look like lies in the videos I've seen on the news

@NJChicaa Yes, the man was definitely killed and it was wrong. Does this mean that every white cop is a ruthless murderer? My son-in-law is a cop near the Detroit area and he wouldn't harm a fly!

Good it was peaceful, most have ended up in a violent riot.

That is pretty cool. I am not sure if any have happened in my city yet, but they've been all around the State. Saw a video the sheriff's departments across NC have made that basically say they denounce the actions of the Minneapolis police department.

@NJChicaa I've heard / seen pictures and videos of police oficers across the US joining the protests, holding up signs in solidarity. This isn't just about race though, it's about police brutality against anyone.

As long as they stay peaceful, that's fine.

Yes, I hope from this incident the government and the police need to be relax when confronting suspect. At least carefully handle them with humanity. The other innocent businesses are having losses as the protesters have damaged the store and stolen many items. However, the insurance company will bear the cost if they have the eligible insurance cover. Hope the government can do something to stabilize the people and also the pandemic in US.
