Just One Word

If there are any Western civilization history buffs in this community they can call me out on this. Did you know that Julius Caesar quieted a riotous mob with just one word? He said: “Citizens.” Our fearless leader, on the other hand, chose the word: “DOMINATE”. And threw in a few extra words like “fools” and “jerks” and "weak" and an historical quote that was A BLAST FROM THE PAST GOOD OLD HAPPY DAYS. Well! You can't say our POTUS doesn't know his American history. *** Good morning! It's the second day of June 2020 and we US citizens still have “miles to go before we sleep”. Hey! I can use quotes too!
Protests following the death of George Floyd, a black man who pleaded that he couldn't breathe while he was held down with a knee by a former Minneapolis police officer, have spread nationwide. Follow here for the latest updates.

I think we've been asleep for far too long, if you ask me.. I do like the reference though as I love that poem.

One word makes a difference. One word defines a leader.

I am just happy that I didnt immigrate to that country because the political climate has been nasty. I even notice many racist become confident to express their bigotry much more freely now.

Robert Frost's poem is really well known, isn't it? I really fear for your country.

I hope the Australian journalists are OK. I saw them get beat up by our policemen.

@JudyEv - Yes. Thank goodness. Sometimes journalists are like the referees in a fighting match. They're not supposed to get hit but sometimes they get punched instead of the opponent.
