How to come out of anxiety disorder?

India
June 3, 2020 11:14am CST
Recently i lost sleep, lost interest in hobbies thay interested me like drawing, painting, stitching, diys and i found myself longing to lie down somewhere whole day. Sometimes i wanted to cry so bad, but not even single tear will come. And finally consulted a doctor who diagnozed me with depression and anxiety disorder and i am on medication. Is there anyone who went through this and came out strong?

I’ve been there...do you have counselor to talk to? Or what you are doing so far after you’ve find out?

@BellaEdward you should ask for scheduled one on one talk to your psychiatrist...prescribing meds is not enough. I suggest look for support group

@BellaEdward I can help you with it because I read somewhere that if you are in touch with other people that used to be depressed but controlled it can help other people

Sorry to hear. What you can do is do some reading when you want to go to sleep. Or watch a boring documentary. It will help you to sleep and take your mind off your problems.

Actually i have borderline personality disorder. i am getting sleepless since my university closed because covid-19 and that's makes me more depressed. Same as you i lost my interested too i became more isolated, i dont wanna talk to people, maybe in the fase depression i lost my self too and im look like pathetic girl. So poor i am. Im trying to heal myself little by little, I read books about self improvement, i tried talk to people and that's changed me, not so strong but better. I recommend you to read some book, the most good book i've ever read is “the courage to be disliked”. I know you can through this!

Thank you for the response. Hope you feel better soon. i dont feel like talking to others much. Only to selected people i talk daily. Though i tried reading, i quit after rereading same paragraph over and over without really reading..
