You made me do it!

Okay, no one actually made me do it. However, someone mentioned brownies in the last couple of days, and I couldn't get them out of my mind. I'm not much for sweets, but all of a sudden I wanted brownies with walnuts. I wish I remembered who talked about brownies, but I don't. So I went to the store for groceries, and got brownie fixins' too. I didn't want to buy eggs when the brownies just require a single egg, so I substituted mayonnaise for the egg. And, instead of vegetable oil, I used the healthier olive oil. They turned out quite tasty!
Do you ever get a yen for a certain food when you read about it, or see it on TV?

How did you know to substitute the mayonnaise for the egg? How much mayo did you use? Yes, I have a yen right now for some buffalo chicken and Swiss cheese rolls which I am having for lunch!

Now you're going to make me do it (I have a shopping trip planned for tomorrow - so I just might get the stuff for brownies ). It happens to me often here . . . but for me to actually do something about it is a different thing .

yes people often mention things here that make you want them. I also see them mention a movie I want to see again or a song I want to hear

During the whole time the state was shut down I had 2 friends on Facebook (One of which is a friend here) who constantly posted various recipes. Even though I had the time to make some new dishes, I didn't, but I saved a lot of them.
Oh, and watch out for @myklj999, I think he adds extra ingredients.

That is GENIUS to substitute mayo for egg - why did I never think of that?! But yeah, the same happened with Brownies for me too a couple of weeks ago - I'm not much of a baker so ended up buying a packet of 'posh' ones to munch on

Oh yes... actually it's funny because I want brownies now. Brownie mix is so cheap to keep around that I enjoy having some on hand. Every once in a while I crave something really bad... usually restaurant food., doh!
