Face shield for more protection

I received a face shield from my wife's sister who is a nurse. She said that the face shield is much better in protection against the virus than the face mask. Maybe I have to agree but wearing the face shield for a time may take its toll on my head. I don't want a headache huh.

yes a face shield gives better protection than mask. in addition to the nose and mouth it protects the eyes too. The bottom and top opening could also have been sealed for 100% protection

It may be good for protection but it is heavy.

@jayanth_77 maybe what you need is the PPE which is a complete set that includes cover for your body, arms, legs and all.

@Alexandoy could have added a plastic sheet to cover the exposed part.

@Alexandoy I wouldn't wear that. Will cause more harm. An improvised shield from a plastic water bottle will be better. Have another made.

@eileenleyva no worries, the face shield will not be required for everyone. It is designed for the frontliners particularly the cashiers and others who face people from time to time.

that is the disadvantage. also, your breath might cloud your vision especially if you breathe out or exhale with much gusto.

@ridingbet no more face mask if you are wearing the shield. In our village I have seen some people wearing the shield. But me, I wouldn't wear it outside, waheehee.

@Alexandoy is it still necessary to wear a face mask when you don the shield? can you imagine yourself going out to the mall with that shield?

I need that face shield when I am frying food in the skillet. I hate it when hot oil lands on my skin.
