Be part of the solution, not the problem. Google before you share.

I get so tired of seeing a friend share something, and I think "really?!!?? I never heard that. So I go and google....and find out it is either totally not true, or a partial truth.
(This one was on Hilary Clinton supposedly having child porn stuff on her email and being on trial for it a couple of days ago. Like as much as people hate her and love to use her as a whipping boy, there WOULD BE NEWS TALKING ABOUT THIS. There is not. So Why was this post created? It said to ignore black out day and post about kids.... Sounds like someone trying to ruin Black Lives Matter with 'outrageous" and complete false made up stuff....)
This really bothers me. Like PLEASE research before you share. Find some reputable source to back things up.

That is common phenomena since the era of social media. People is excited to share anything they have, but not aware whether that is truth or false

Wait a minute...don't you know that everything you read on the internet is true? I read that on the internet, so it must be true! LOL
My rule of thumb is to automatically NOT believe a single thing I read on the internet, until I can verify with facts. Snopes.com is usually a great site to fact check at.

I'm not on FB but Vince is always telling me about people sharing this and that and it's either rubbish or 10 years old. The latter I'm thinking about those that want you to send cards to a sick person - half of them are so out of date it's not funny.

Seems irresponsible is the word of our times. And I hate the excuse, 'well everybody does it'. Oh really?

I hardly ever post anything newsworthy; so I just try and make sure it's true.

I saw that recently. There's one person on my friends list that seems to post this kind of stuff, and I just ignore it. Years ago, he wasn't like this. Seems like he is now.
Also yeah, it's not hard to do a little research before posting things.

If all the people start thinking like this many problems in the world would be solved
