He was born with a head full of hair, but ever since he was 3 months old it has been falling out. Does anyone know why or when will it start growing back?

That is absolutly normal. I see you began this discussion 6 months ago. So I am sure that he has strong new hair for now :)

Please don't worry. Most babies are full of birth hair called lanugo. It is there for protection from the amniotic fluid. After birth, it has to fall and comes back on appropriate places like head. I too have a small daughter. Same things happened with her too.

Our daughter's birth hair fell out for the first 6 months or so and was soon replaced by new hair. It will come soon!

All of my children had some hair loss, but it all grew back just fine. What did surprise me was my last son's hair. When he was born it was dark brown and he had the prettiest curls. When he was a year old I was talked into cutting it. after this it came in blond and straight. anyone else had children who's hair did this?
