At 4:15 pm, Sunday , June 7.
Clouds have covered the whole sky and have been rumbling for nearly an hour. This year rain bringing Monsoon winds were to strike West coast of India on the 1st of this month. It usually takes a week to reach our place in eastern India.
In other years, it comes in the second week of June. Thus we can say it is coming a little early. Monsoon plays a immeasurably valuable role in the agriculture of the Indian subcontinent. Farmers of this region are looking forward eagerly to the arrival of the Monsoon rain.

It's good that the monsoon rains are arriving as they should. Drought is devastating to farmers.

We too had cloud cover for a few hours in the morning. Yet we did not got any rains. Sometimes, we also see pre-Monsoon showers which bring some rains.
Let us wait and see if we get Monsoon showers early on. Or do we get these on time?

I think monsoon has hit Kerala state. a thick cloud cover can be seen over it. Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted it would strike Kerala on 5th of June. We in Goa are receiving some rains since last week but they must be pre monsoon showers because it takes almost one week for the monsoon to reach here after it begins in Kerala.

Maybe due to global warming, the weather is mixed up now. Normally, monsoon appears around late august or september
