Social site issue with Covid

As many of you know, my Facebook account was disabled by Facebook but my own phone number isn't connected to the account to request a review. (for some reason they no longer are using email to confirm your account) So I know I tried my daughter's number, but she never got the code for me to request a review. Then Friday, 14 days after my account was disabled, I thought I would try again and this time the code went through. I was excited, it even asked for a photo to confirm it was me. However, when I uploaded my picture, I got this message that because of covid, they have fewer people to review. So I wonder, since the 14 days is up, and even though I requested the review on the 14th day, if my account is seriously completely gone. It won't bother me if it is, but maybe they will allow me to create another account and that way I can reconnect with friends and even go as far as connect with them another way in case this happens again.

I think the whole thing is odd. It seems as if they disabled your account out of the blue. I'm sorry you've had to go through all of this, but I hope they let you create another account if nothing else.

@Carmelanirel2 I hope they review it soon. I'd also ask for an explanation if they do say it was a mistake. Like, how could the mistake have come about? I had to think about whether my cellphone is associated with my account, and it is.

@ScribbledAdNauseum If the mistake is on their end, they probably wouldn't tell me.

I know. All these years I have never had problems with Facebook as I watch my friend going into "Facebook jail" all the time, I never was in jail. Yet, out of the blue, my account is gone. Some think it was a mistake, but until they review it, I won't know.

I would have no compunction about creating another account. I know loads of people with two or more accounts (I have two myself, though one is solely for playing games).

@Carmelanirel2 That is odd. Like every site, of course, Facebook can see your IP address but i suspect that it's your name that may be the problem. It's along time since I made a Facebook account but I don't recall having any problem, though I did use a different name as well as a different email address.

@owlwings Okay, my lack of technical skills are going to show here. The IP address, is that from a computer or the WiFi? Because if computer, the computer I tried signing it up with is new.

@owlwings I tried that, using not only a different email, but a different computer and it still won't let me in. Not sure if it is because my name is attached or through my WiFi that it is denying me to create another one, but I can't.

Good luck with this. Covid has upset so many of our daily activities.

That's the worst because Facebook is terrible and hope they give you access to your account otherwise creating new account isn't a good option

Thanks, I think you meant that creating a new account is a good option...or do you think maybe I shouldn't even create a new account? I know I have had friend who had problems with Facebook, but if I can create an account just to find friends I lost contact with, then I won't care if the account is gone. I just miss certain friends.

@Butterfingers Not really, I have friends who were mutual friends and once I get an account, I can just go through their site to reconnect.

@Lakshman15 They don't seem to have a support team unless one signs into his or her account. As for the meaning of the word "rack" you mean the truth? Yes, I post the truth, but usually I share fro other friends and their accounts are still active.

@Carmelanirel2 oh OK Are you contact their support team?? Are you from US,I read one news they recently deleted lot US citizens accounts due to spreading rack news about latest incidents.. May be this is one reason I think so.

It was, I had zero warning. I never was even in Facebook jail, like some of my friends were.
