This is the bunch of bananas from the front yard that I harvested yesterday afternoon. It is the Bangkok type of banana that can be eaten as is or can be fried. Since we cannot finish all of those 6 clusters, only 2 clusters will be for us and the rest would go to the neighbors.

This small variety of banana is very popular in southern state of Kerala and Tamil Nadu in India. It's tastes mildly sweet and offered to Gods during prayer at temples.

Do you think that variety is native to India or to Thailand?

@Alexandoy I am not sure of the nativity of this banana variety. But just like other banana variety needs good rain and moisture.

Maybe our neighbors are lucky but we are also fortunate because most of the neighbors here are generous too with their harvest.

If you have a cold season the banana will not grow.

@marguicha tropical fruits do not survive the cold winter. My father had planted some tropical fruits in California but only the citrus was able to grow and bear fruits. It is like a small orange that is very sour.

My previous harvests are more. This bunch was kind of abused because some people got the leaves without my permission.

I have wasting food so instead of going to trash it is better to give it away.
