Employer reduced work hours rather than manpower

I think this is a great idea and the most humane thing to do. Instead of retrenching employees, reducing work hours and making it equal for employees to still work and have income. Downside for that is you won't get the full salary in a month that you usually get. Do you agree with reducing the work hours?

That's one sign of the recession happening. If youre one of their employees, better have a back up.

@jvincent_129 It's not the best time to do that though.

It is a stop-gap measure but not sure how long that will work. Best that you have a second and third income stream should your full-time job be gone.

@jvincent_129 better to be prepared rather than to be left out with no job and salary to count out.

I think I agree with that. It would be more fair anyway.

I think that’s better than actually losing your job.
