If someone really love us, does he/she need to prove it on marriage ? Or marriage is a tool to convince if our partner loves us, which defeat the purpose of commitment? because if you're committed to someone such bond is unnecessary?

Marriage is the union of two people for the purpose of procreation. But it's not mandatory for 2 individuals to get married to prove that they love each other and are committed to each other.

I actually want to disagree here. People get married for procreation? What about those who doesn't want to have baby, but want to live together married?

I believe marriage is important as respect is important in every long lasting relationship. If you don't respect, your love is useless, worthless. Its my opinion. Many people may have different logic

Marriage is all about commitment. Love is just a way,not the only way to get in

Being married is a status but it is also a day when you celebrate your love by having a wedding. Granted even people that aren't in love get married... *everybody looks at vegas*

Marriage isn't a proof of love. For me its a promise we ll have each other's back no matter what. "In better and worse". Help you, guide you, be with you, fight with you, fight for you and love you. But having said this, communication and loyalty is the key for a successful marriage.
