Mr. Know-it-all...

June 11, 2020 10:08am CST
Is anyone out there married to a Mr. Know-it-all? I am and it's very hard to live with someone who believes he is always right! I spend a lot of time crying because of it. It hurts to always be in a position in which you are always told you are wrong. Even if it is not expressed in words, you know that Mr. Know-it-all believes that he is right again and so you must be wrong! After all, if he's right, you must be wrong. That is the only logical assumption you can reach... Well, it's pretty tough to live with that everyday of your married life. I'm wrong about this, I'm wrong about that, I'm wrong about everything! If it were not for my strong faith, I know my marriage would be over by now.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you can learn to live with it, because he's not going to change. I would just agree with him and not argue. Hopefully, he will get the hint and not continue.

Sorry you are often crying. My Hubby thinks his way is best, always. I tell him his way is fine, and I do it my way. I have left him to make supper, so now he knows either I am doing it the way I want, or he is doing it Often, his ideas are good, so often I say I'll think about what he is saying. Then I quietly choose to try his idea or carry on my way. Either way, I decide without arguing.

I'm not even gonna be attracted to someone like that. I'm sorry you have to go through that.

I am very sorry, I agree that it must be really hard to live with someone you make you feel "guilty" all the time.

There is no perfect marriage. I know that feeling but focus on his positive traits and know his weakness. Love is patient. for how long have you been married by the way?
