How many gifts do you buy for your kids a christmas

We usually try to set an amount, we have 3 children, so it can get expensive. This year my 5 year old daughter wants a Butterscotch FurReal horse from Santa, so she raised the bar this year - darn thing is about $300 - so we'll be forking out the money trying to keep it all fair, heaven forbid we don't keep it fair, LOL. My oldest will turn 8 before Christmas, so this may be the last year they believe it's Santa bringing them the gifts. Though, spending that much money I'd rather they knew it came from Mom and Dad, LOL!

I guess just whatever they want and what I can afford. I really don't have a set number or amount limit. Most of the time they arent that needy anyways, they get whatever they want all the time.
