This may come as a shock to many of you, but I'm not normal.
And neither are you.
None of us are normal, but nor are we abnormal.
Normal simply doesn't exist in regards to a person, no matter how much we might attribute to "normalcy".
This has been a nonsensical ramble brought to you by yours truly. Proceed with your day, but ya know, not as normal...

What's normal to me might not be to others. I am normal but my normalcy is not normal for others. Other day I found one normal talk very abnormal...I can go on rambling and that is quite normal with me. I know it doesn't sound normal to you.

What is normal anyway? Depends on who you are near and their perceptions, I guess. I was the only female in the water aerobics class who did not wear make up or have their nails messed with and my hair was not helmet short. To them I was the odd ball. To me, they were the odd ball. I went back East to see relatives. My brother's ex yelled: "You're the one with the animals!" when she saw me. And inside, I yelled back: "You're the one with the curtains drawn to keep natural light out!!" Normal is what??

Your response makes me think of a quote I once saw but that quote has completely flown from my head. It had to do with people's perceptions.

We are all our own normal.
It's why I don't like labels; neurotypical vs. atypical. Who's to say that the latter isn't the norm?

Right. I just think labels hurt people. We try to live it up to them, or get away from them.

I like Marlina's response with the quote. I know I'm not normal either.

My city was one of the places that Maya Angelou lived.

Right. We spend our lives trying to live up to an ideal because we think it's the way we are supposed to be. We would be much happier if we just did what we wanted and cared little for others' opinions.

@amitkokiladitya I have relieved myself of some obligations, but then there are still things that I need to accomplish. Even so, I am doing them mostly on my own terms.

I think normal is something many people strive for,but I do not believe it exists.

I agree that I am also not normal. I have never really been normal. I feel I am a unique one of a kind person.

@Hannihar A person's unique qualities have nothing to do with whether they are a nasty person or not.
Being unique doesn't excuse a person's bad behavior, nor does it have one to do with the other, in my opinion.

I do not believe everyone is unique. There are a lot of nasty people out there.
