That is exactly what The Monkees say in this song and it is exactly what I want to do. I have decided that I am definitely getting out of these four walls and I will take several walk on the weekend. We have streets that can take you around in a loop so I am going to see what is happening around the neighborhood.
I have no one but myself to walk with but if I did I would use the words of this song –
Come with me
I'll take you where the taste of life is green
And every day holds wonders to be seen
I will just have to check out the wonders by myself. I have been noticing something strange these days. I work and my PC is right between two windows. I always see several families at different times take their walks, two different couples at different times, and two ladies coming along with their doggies. Yesterday and today I have not seen any of them. You would think that if they went walking while all the craziness was going on they would be out even more now. There was even a woman who brought her little girl to the grassy church property across the street to play. It seems they’ve all disappeared either that or I am not playing with a full deck anymore. So I am heading out come Friday to see what is happening in this world but I doubt if I will be able to solve this mystery.
Written by Carole King & Gerry Goffin. Released as The Monkees first B-side! Also included on their debut LP. A fan favorite beautifully sung by Micky Dolenz...

It's a nice song and it you take the words seriously and the walking every it will make you relax and fit too, but that will not be possible these days because of this corona virus . its rarely to see many people walk in the neighbourhood street they do the walking around their home gardens and compounds.

Yes, it would make you wonder where the "regulars" have gone, or if they are having a "party", socially distant of course, and forgot to invite you. Maybe you will find them on your walk.
