My first swim of the Summer!

It was 80 degrees F today at 4 PM, and I decided to go for it. The pool has been open for about a week, but I've been ill and couldn't go.
Today, after some MyLottting and some work on my book, I decided to go for it. The water was about the same temperature as the air, and it was glorious.
I did some crawl, some breast stroke, and some underwater flips. Now I am a happy camper.
Horse Jr's mom won't let him swim unless it's near 90 F, so I didn't have him with me today. But that didn't stop me from having a good time. Social distancing was easy, as I was the only person there.
Do you have a pool where you live? Or one nearby? I'm a land animal, but I really enjoy playing in the water.

Wow. Here the pools won't be open this year. After two months we will have rajny season and then winters.

@amitkokiladitya That is a "bummer." I know it can get a tad warm in parts of India. How far South is Agra?

No pool. Because of my back's finicky nature I can't swim anymore (I don't know if I'd have the strength to do leg kicks to get myself out of danger if it were necessary).
BTW, you weren't skinny dipping, were you?

I am glad you were able to enjoy the pool. If there is a pool somewhere here I don't know about it. What we do have is the Atlantic Ocean and the beach and I can wade around because I do not swim in large waves. When the tropical heat does hit I might consider the water park which is just three blocks away and I can picture myself sitting in a tube and floating around in cool water.

@RasmaSandra The lagoon sounds nice. Is it well decorated? We just have a pool. But we had big happy fun today.

You made me miss our swimming trips. Summer here is over so I guess we have to wait for next year.

How I wish there is a nearby private pool that I can call my own... no such luck.

Well no pool or swimming here. Yet sometimes, I do have a nice shower to enjoy. Yet I try to have the shower bath only once in a few days. This is because shower takes up more water than bucket bath.
So bucket bath is what I go for normally.

@TheHorse
1.Clean the bucket slightly.
2.Fill it with water, leaving just some space at the top.
3.Close the tap.
4.Take a mug.
5. Put a soap and lather your body.
6.Pour water on yourself with the help of the mug mentioned above.
7.Once done, wipe with a towel.
8.Change and wear new clothes.
9.Put your towel for drying on a rope or a stand.
I hope it helps

@TheHorse As I said, I suffer of aquaphobia. This is an irrational fear of water (aqua in Latin). Any large source of water causes to me extreme fear and anxiety. This include a swimming pool, a lake, an ocean, for some people even the bathtub, at least I do not fear that one.

The swimming pools I manage are open year-round, so I've pretty much been swimming non-stop throughout the year. Did take a break when the lockdown started, but now I'm back at it. My mom always told me that I was probably a fish in another life, due to how much I loved (and still love) swimming.

@TheHorse Well, it doesn't matter how good you are at it, as long as you enjoy it!

@moffittjc Yeah, I do some laps, but mostly I just pretend I'm a dolphin and do flips and whatever.

Glad you feel better and that you enjoyed your swim. We have a YMCA fairly close by; but that's the only pool.

no swimming unless it's 90? That seems odd, we go swimming when it hits 70's. Although I'm not much for swimming I would rather go scuba diving. We start diving usually in May when it's still in the 60's and the water sometimes hasn't even hit 50.

Oh in your area all are open that's great. But hear all are in close not possible to go out. In my opinion on spending like that public pool is not safe. Take care of you.

I never learned to swim. An empty pool would be good.

I hope you are feeling better now. I am so glad you enjoyed your swim. No pool here and beaches are far away from where we live. There are places where one can use a pool in Jerusalem, but, I really am not a swimmer. I go in get wet and back out again. I prefer to sit on my porch if can in nice weather.
