How Important is Ending In a Movie?

I think it's as important as the beginning and the middle part because if the ending is not perfect it can leave a bad impression on the viewers.
We as audience have watched hundreds and thousands of movies and know how the ending should be like don't know why the directors or the story writers aren't much bothered about the ending. Today I watched a movie and it's ending was incomplete actually and don't think they are planning to make a 2nd or 3rd part of it.
Have you ever noticed that ending is not perfect in a particular movie?

@SHOHANA I doesn't mean a happy ending is perfect. I mean it should have a perfect ending so we need not be curios of what will happen after that

Oh, If the ending is bad, it is just frustrating and even if the movie started out really well, and they are unable to give the plot justice by its ending - i'd say its not a good movie and would be waste of time. There are a lot of movies, or series that are really well written but towards the ending, they just can't continue to be good - i drop watching these contents.

If the ending of the movie covers everything there is a need to cover in the movie, then it is good for me.

@Butterfingers endings that leave some interpretation to audiences are fine if these are well-made.
A good example of an ending open for interpretation is the Netflix action movie of Chris Hemsworth 'Extraction'.

this discussion reminded me of the movie platform. many people are "mad" because of the way it ended.

A bad ending could spoil everything no matter how good a movie or series is. One best example that really gave me a disappointment was " Game of Thrones" Ending is really very important for me.

One of my favourite films is man on fire.
The ending was not what I wanted it to be but was greater for that fact.
Life never has a happy ending.

That's good but if it's an ending which can be tragic it's fine because not all stories have happy ending

Ok as you like it. I don't mind happy or tragic ending as long as they are perfect for the movie
