I'd feel of course feel bad and sad for the person. But that's life...we have to always deal with problems, difficulties we encounter we have no choice but to fight with it. All I can do for this love one is to pray for him to get well soon. God Bless!

I'd feel a little bit scared, but the main thing I would feel is that I was going to help them fight it and that we would beat it.
I've actually had this happen and that's exactly how I felt and that's exactly what happened (twice).

Just put it in your mind that whatever happens to her/him that you will see again some other time... not really in this world but in the other dimension....

devasted i guess. over the past few years i lost alot of dear ones, due to different diseases. i still haven't passed all that pain i felt and i still miss them like hell, even though it passed years, but if something like this were to happen, i'd make sure he knew how much i love him, and i would try to make his last moments spend here worth the while.

My children's father has chronic lymphatic leukemia. He was diagnosed with this disease nearly 18 years ago. The doctors only gave him 6 years to live. He has exceeded that by 12 years. The VA hospital is using experimental therapies on him. My oldest daughter is the only one to come to terms with his illness. She knows that he may not be around for much longer. The other 3 are in denial. This is the same disease that recently took Ed Bradley's life.

Been there and done that. Cancer is rife in my family. Your heart drops and the first thing to do is find out which kind, how far advanced and then take it from there. It's horrible, especially when they are young and don't pull through.
