I had a plan for today. I was going to repackage the fitness tracker from Amazon and send that stinker back. I could not get it to work. They will give me my money back. While at the UPS store, I intended to go across the road to Dollar General, use my $5 off $25 and stock up on dry cat food, and cat treats. But wait!! I got a phone call!! The appliance repair person got the part in for my freezer and he wanted to come right out, on a Saturday, and take care of it. He did!! He says he suddenly has lots of repairs in Marion, the next town over, between our town and his. It is because they are having lots of power outages and surges while they are repairing the infrastructure. Recommends surge protectors just as Jekca said. I learned, from our conversation, that he is in his 80's. He sure does a good job and is pleasant to have in my home to repair things. Now off I go to put the package in the return for Amazon and stock up on food for the kitties.
