Saturday Thoughts

Happy Sunny Saturday Everyone! what a nice day today. It's warm, a slight breeze and looks like summer has arrived. I love when it's warm and sunny but hate when it gets too hot and humid. Then I'm happy to be inside in the a/c.
My daughters are out making a trip to Michaels for a curbside pickup. Michaels is having a big sale so they're taking advantage. I opted not to go even though I probably should have gone just for the ride and to get out of the house. But I didn't think about it until after they had left.
Ebay has pretty much been a disappointment. I listed one thing this morning for an auction and will see what happens. I'm seriously thinking of ending the other few things I have listed and just putting them in the box for donation.
Since our local thrift store says they aren't reopening the next closest one is about half an hour away. It's probably worth the drive if my daughter and I have enough stuff to donate. It's not worth the time and gas if I bring the small box I have.
Which gets me thinking....
What are people going to do about yard sales this summer? They're pretty common here on weekends and we usually have a whole community one on a specific weekend every year. I guess you could still have a yard/garage sale if people wear masks and keep distancing.
Life certainly has changed and now I find myself second guessing everything.
Anyway, that's my chat for this morning.
Coffee is done and I'm going to take the dogs out. Neither is snoring for a change
Anything fun planned for today or this weekend?

Nothing much for today just the usual, change the litter, vacuum etc. Tomorrow I'll be going over to my granddaughters house to celebrate father's day with my son-in-law and grandson-in-law. Hope the rain stays away until it's over lol. Have a great weekend!

I hope you find enough stuff to warrant a trip to that store, maybe there's another place close to it that you'd like to shop at.
Oh, I have tons of fun in store for me today. I'll be outside watering the trees and stuff because it'll be getting into the high 90s today and it's way too dry here. I like being outside, maybe I'll even get a tan

Yeah I like to just go for a drive too when I can to get out of the house. You should have went it would've been nice. We got the OK to have garage and yard sales in our state this summer so alot of people have been taking advantage of it.
I spent the day/night with my nephew - he stayed here for the weekend. We played some video games and then went outside and played a few games out there until it started to rain/thunder. It's been a nice weekend.

Mao's Last Dancer is on TV tonight so that might be the highlight of our weekend.

I was just outside chatting with my husband and it's freaking hot here today. We do have a pool but the water is still a little chilly. Besides, I was home alone up until an hour ago and thought I would get to work on my novel... and then he comes home. Now he has gone to pick up a buddy to come swimming. My peace has been destroyed.
Our area has banned yard sales for now.

I guess people will be having them at their own and their guests own risk. It wouldn't be first on my list of things to do, but our infection rate in the county is pretty low..and I was just reading that 66.2 percent of the cases are in nursing homes with staff and clients making up the majority of the cases. So, I might attend..with mask on.

We were driving to our son's place today and saw a lot of cars on the side of the road at one home out in the country. When we came back there were still people in the yard, and we saw a yard sale sign. The crowd was so large in the morning that you couldn't see the sign. I guess that people are not afraid of the virus. I hope that they do not regret that.

I hate it when I second guess myself. I hope they came back with some nice things from Michaels. I'm sorry eBay has been bad lately.
I never thought about it for yard sales. Yes, I'm sure it will be different.
