This song trivia series has been focusing on bad weather....namely "rain." I've had plenty of rain here in New Jersey (USA), going back as far as January, so I thought this song subject would be appropriate. And maybe by doing a rain series it will bring about more sunny weather in my state. No rain scheduled this week but no sun either. Anyhow, time to get "soaked with some rainy tunes." Rain showers sometimes bring on emotional reactions. And that's what these rain songs have in common. They all express feelings about the rain in their titles. And to start us off is a video from The Who, who absolutely "love" the effect rain has according to the song title. Hope you enjoyed that picturesque uplifting video song about rain being a message from God, the theme of this tune... Now it's on to our trivia clues. Whodunnit? 1. This pop artist had 11 Top-40 hits from 1960-1963, but couldn't score a hit after the British Invasion. It took this 1974 rain song to reignite his career, as he had six more Top-40 hits by 1977. The emotion expressed in this song is a joyful one as the singer is "walking hand in hand with the one he loves." She makes him feel so happy inside he could just burst out giggling as he shares his love with her in the rain. You may recognize this singer from his first million seller 12 years earlier than this #1 charter, titled "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do." Do you know this song and this artist who received some assistance from Elton John to revive his career? 2. This English harmony beat group was formed in Birmingham and came to prominence in 1965 with the song "You've Got Your Troubles which became a top ten international hit. The group is responsible for the Coca-Cola jingle "It's The Real Thing?" And the even-earlier one "Things Go Better With Coke?" The singer in this 1971 rain song expresses his sorrow as he is apart from his love. He's feeling sad, with his tears falling like a rainy Monday, instead of a sunny Sunday spent with his girlfriend. The guy is trying to disguise the way he feels, but his "misty morning eyes shows he's breaking up inside" thinking of her. The tune peaked at number 15 on the Hot 100 charts in the U.S. The name of this group is the same as the cookie you'd get in a Chinese restaurant. Do you know this sad rain song and the group from Britain who recorded it? 3. Bonus- "Love Reign O'er Me" was a song from the soundtrack of the band's movie called "Quadrophenia," about a teen with 4 personalities. The Who also made another record which became a movie about a boy who was deaf, dumb, and blind. Do you know the name of this movie? Ok, "Who Will Stop The Rain" and solve these mystery songs and artists. If your stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. Or, as the band Jefferson Starship would say, you can "Count On Me." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! Until next Saturday... Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com Photo- freepik.com

Neil Sedaka with Laughter In The Rain. I've got troubles remembering the rain song but the group can only be The Fortunes with the clue you gave us. The Who song is The Pinball Wizard.
