Sometime I give small amout of my pennies. But sometimes not. I felt pitty seeing them hungry. That's why I gave my left over when I went out from the food chain. I felt guilty too when I am only passing over to them without giving anything that I have or I am empty too. Conscienced of mine aroused.

i know we are being discouraged to do that, but sometimes, i just couldn't help it. i give them some money, at times, food. sometimes, too, i try to talk to them, hold their hands, make them feel a human touch.

If I have the money. I will give it to them. Even if it is my last dollar. Every needs help some time. Even thou we don't have much. I would rather help someone if I can. Rather than see them go without.

I used to, but sometimes, it's scary especially when you're walking. If you give to one, everybody else will ask for money. I just try to give to charitable institutions, hoping that they someday they'll be able to help those streetpeople I chose not to help in the past.

There are so many beggars in my country..Some of them are richer than me..Can you believe it?
I must watch them very carefully. Sometimes I give, but sometimes I don't.

i saw one older woman begger i dont know why but i felt pitty about her, i wanted to take her home and just release her from that. it happend to me only once becuz as i see most of beggars need money not for food but alkohol and ciggaretts. i was thinking what is her life like, i even thought she was under regim of some man who beated her and ordered to give him money. many itmes when i passed by i had no money, but once i had and with all my pleasure i gave her like $1. and i promissed myself to give her money everytime i see her. but since i gave her the money i stopped seeing her. maybe that was a sign...

I think this is your best discusion yet Cuddy
I give what I can, however I find a lot of homeless people are too proud to admit help. I see them going through the trash and living off the scraps off food that others didnt want, and I feel bad. I offer to buy them lunch and they refuse.
What I do for them now is go and buy something nice to eat. wack it in a bag, and then put it in the bin. they find it. and I feel better knowing that I have helped someone who clearlyy needs the help, but is too stubourn and proud to admit it.

is it really not allowed to do so? i mean when i see beggars who looked really pitiful, i would give what i can afford. i am easily softened in these kind of situations and my friends would tell me that i should not always give because they would tend to ask for more and not work to have their own money.
