Not yet a father

Today, since this morning until now, my husband received 7 texts from his friends wishing him happy father's day.
Yes, today is father's day in Colombia.
When receiving the texts, my husband asked me what should he write back to his friends who wished him happy father's day since he's not yet a father.
I don't know what to say. He's right, he is not yet a father. There's still a chance to lose our baby (I'm sad when thinking about this ).

Your husband could send a thank you reply. Father need not be biological father. Even a man who cares for abandon kids or takes care of animal like dogs can be called a fatherly figure.

That's interesting. Anyway, my husband has written thank you to his friends.

On this site there are many different cultures so one persons thoughts may be according to their culture.
Over here friends wouldn't wish other friends happy fathers day.
That'd be for the kids and the mum if the kids were young.
From your post I am assuming you are expecting a baby so congrats on that
In British culture your situation wouldn't happen.
Yes you'd get cards/presents if/when a baby arrives but fathers day wouldn't be a thing for your husband over here.
If I was in your husbands position I'd probably just send a smiley face so as not to offend.
As an English man I'd send some words...

I'm expecting a baby, and the baby will be due in October.
Thank you.
Anyway, my husband has written 'thank you' to his friends.

Father's Day is for the father and the would-be father or childless father.

@Miss_Leafy Don't worry. Be optimistic.
God is good. He knows what's best.

I agree with you, but we're still not sure if he will become 100% a daddy.
