How did you feel about the abject failure of Trump's "rally" this past weekend?

I admit that I was amused when I read that the Trump rally in Tulsa Oklahoma was an abysmal failure this past weekend. The arena in which the rally was held has a capacity of about 19,000. Trump had the hubris to have a second stage and chairs set up outside so he could address the "overflow" crown after the main rally.
About 6,000 people showed up. The stage outside was taken down as Trump spoke.
Many think that the poor attendance was a reflection of Trump's waning popularity. But one friend pointed out that not all Trump supporters are idiots. The "money people" may have stayed home due to the threat of catching Covid-19 in an enclosed environment with people sitting right next to each other.
What are your thoughts? Did you chuckle when you saw what happened? If you're a Trump supporter, were you disappointed? Do you think the poor attendance has any meaning at all?

After the devastation of the past three months with people fearing to leave home, it's no wonder this happened! Trump can't just turn on and off, the psychological effects that Covid-19 had our nation. He's almost implying, it's OK to just put down your guard, whenever I say it's time. 'Crowd in, folks!' Why would he expect over a million people, to rush in to hear him speak? People are a lot smarter than he portrays!

People are a lot smarter than he is. But some will still vote for him. I did a "meta-analysis" of some studies about the intelligence of Democrats and Republicans. The difference is negligeable, in spite of what my Liberal friends would like to think. I do believe that the "smart" Republicans, some (but not all) of them Trump supporters stayed home to protect their health.

@TheHorse Most of the Republicans are brilliant, but they're also money minded. So, if something is guaranteed to increase their bank account, they're all for it(the sky is the limit). That's stupid! Democrats, some of them should retire before they die warming a chair.

@kobesbuddy Armchair Liberals kind of bore me. They say the same politically correct stuff and have no direct experience with the issues they address.

Trump had a rally? I guess I need to pay more attention to the news.
Okay, I'm done laughing now. Paying more attention to the news was the funniest joke I've said in a long time!
Is there some kind of election happening this year?

@TheHorse Hmmm...I see the dilemma here. It's on the news, but Trump says it's fake news. So that means what we hear on the news isn't real. So even when Trump's on the news it isn't real. I feel like I've just entered the Matrix or something.

6,000 was still just about 6,000 more than attended Biden's rally, lol.
I thought Trump's speech when he got down to brass tacks was very good. The rally had nearly 8 million views so...
What I found hilarious was how a gaggle of teenagers (likely mostly 13 yr old girls) swamped the ticket counter. I find that funny bc that is exactly the tactics teens use on American Idol, lol. The sad part is those teens have no idea what they are doing or why. They are just slap happy on the band wagon without a clue, kind of like the rioters who really think it is about them and their demands. Not a clue to what is really going on.
As a Trump supporter not disappointed at all. To me all it reflects is how strange our world has become this last year.

i wonder honestly. I don't think it was a good idea, and clearly a lot of people didn't think it was a good idea as well. The lesson don't hold rallies in pandemics.

Am just a spectator from afar. But it was a scene to reckon with - for the women treated as merchandise, for the piano maker commissioned but never paid, for the steeplechase neighborhood whose houses were burned, and countless others.
As the good old Proverbs book would say - 'Pride goes before a fall.'

@TheHorse Sigh, I have two pianos in my sala and both need tuning.
Anyway, I forgot the name of the piano maker who made grands for the Donald. Delivered to the hotels but never got paid.
Thanks very much for the 'Little Bird.' Beautiful music. Love it very much.

@eileenleyva Thank you! Did The Donald explain why they never got paid? I hadn't heard about that. Maybe they need tuning too.

Piano maker? Tell me about it! I can tune pianos (even have the equipment), but not make them. Here's my only original piano piece on the internet:

I thought it was both hilarious and sad. Sad in that all of those ppl are now exposed to the virus again, and could be spreading it. Hilarious that he didn't just do this online! Also I thought it was cool of those youths to organize what they did in regards to his 'free' tickets
also they COULD HAVE SOCIAL DISTANCED with all that space, but didnt because he didnt want his photos to 'look bad' or so I read

Yes, I had a laugh. I think the poor attendance is a combination of his poor standing and COVID-19.

First the government says stay home avoid being infected. Then ask to come for a rally?
