What's Your Dream Home?

Good morning everyone. It's cloudy and windy this morning, but the wind actually felt nice when I was out on my balcony earlier. We had rain last night and have chances of rain this morning. I don't have much planned today, except laundry. I usually wash on Mondays, but the weather was causing my feet to hurt so I took it easy and binge watched a show about lottery winners finding their dream homes. I was amazed that only one person out of all that I watched wanted a huge mansion. Everyone else was very reasonable in the homes they wanted. I would be that way too. I would want a home a little bigger than our apartment. What about you? If you won the lottery, what type of home would you want? What is your dream home? Daisy survived swallowing her busy bone. Thankfully she has not had any side effects. We were very lucky and she will never have anything like that again. I've always called her my little wild child and she certainly lives up to it. I'm off to work on my notifications. When my brother gets up, I will start the laundry so I can have it done early. I'm going to try and do what I can this morning while my feet are feeling better. I need to make some jewelry if possible. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I wouldn't want a huge home. Probably just the one I have but maybe I'd have a house-keeper.

I’m living in my dream home.. We love large and elegant. Fortunately, we can afford a cleaning lady.

You are so lucky! I would want large rooms. I'm tired of the small rooms in apartments.

@DianneN Maybe he feels closed in when he is in smaller homes.

@simone10 Thanks. I love our condo and could easily live there, but hubs likes large homes to roam around in.

I prefer no stairs in a home. I like the rancher style best, with the bedrooms at one end and the living area in the center and off to the other end for the kitchen. I don't like more space then I actually need, it has to be cleaned too. I'm glad that Daisy has survived the bone event, now you'll need to change things up for her. Our son cannot feed his dog those either for the same reason, I started to buy her a toy, which is really hard to chew. She likes it and hasn't torn it apart, its almost impossible to tear it apart. I wish that I could remember the brand name, you could look into it, but it escapes me at this moment. I have bought her 2 such toys from that brand, both keep her busy while he needs her to be quiet during the day as he works.

I like the idea of the bedrooms being at one end of the house. I also like the way our apartment is set up. One bedroom at each end and the kitchen and living room in the middle. Yes, I will need to change things up with Daisy. I just haven't figured it out yet. Anything she can chew down smaller will be out of the question as we were very lucky the busy bone didn't get stuck.

@simone10 I just hate stairs that is why I like a rancher style home. Have you tried her with a Kong, its a busy toy but indestructible.

I am so glad to know that Daisy is fine. If I won the lottery I would stay in the home we have, I love it and it is the right size for us, large enough to be very comfortable.

I've watched that show about people winning the lottery and looking for homes. Even though I love where I live I think I would like a house that's all on one floor and a pool. It doesn't have to be a mansion but I'm so tired of the stairs here in this house. I probably would stay in the same area and not move to another part of the US

I feel the same way about one floor. I agree, I wouldn't want a mansion. Just nice size rooms. I would enjoy a pool also.

I'm glad your feet were feeling better yesterday and you got the laundry done you wanted to do the day before. My dream home would definitely be larger than my apartment. I would have a huge kitchen. I like to spread out when I cook and having this galley kitchen with not enough cupboard space doesn't work for me. Though, I make it work. I really do love my apartment, not my kitchen. I would have large closets in all three bedrooms. I might be single, but I do have children and grandchildren I hope will come to visit and spend the night. I would have a nice sized office to accommodate a good-sized desk and lots of bookshelves for all my books. I would have a bath at least twice the size of the one I have, though it's a good size for an apartment. I would have a nice dining room connected to the kitchen and last, I would have a nice sized living room with a nice living room set. I don't have a living room set and only two chairs for company. Oh and at least three bathrooms, one a half bath. That's my dream home. Along with a mudroom with hookups so I don't need to go to a laundromat. This doesn't need to be large, a modest home will do.

Those are some really good points. I would also want a large kitchen and three bedrooms. I'm with you on a modest home. I wouldn't want a mansion, just larger rooms than we have now. A pool would be nice too.

Yes, the busy bone is edible. Instead of her chewing it all the way down, she chewed it until it was about two inches long then she swallowed it. Daisy is a small dog and she could have really done some damage.

I like ground floor houses but big and functional enough, I love wood and stone. What is important to me is that it has a yard, beautifully landscaped grass and flowers ... ah yes, and a fence must be

I just want to have a modest house but it is quite spacious and has a yard too. The yard is filled with fruit and vegetable gardens. I want the house to be in a quiet village. Feels like living in heaven right?
