In my workplace, wednesday is English day, both online and offline. But it doesn't work properly. Many (most) people wont to use english. I have been promoting english and it doesn't show good result so far
By the way, english is foreign language in Indonesia.
Good morning from Indonesia.

@nawala123 in my travels, I can only agree with the Singaporeans but mostly the Indians there who are good in English. The Chinese in Singapore are not good in English, it is hard to talk with them. In Jakarta, we had a hard time communicating, so we use sign language, waheehee.

English is well know to people in my country. Particularly who went to school and had a formal education. But still not spoken during every day conversation except for chatting on social media.

I am a native English speaker, and I think English would be a hard language to learn if it wasn't my first language.

Interesting concept to make one set day of the week an English day where everyone is supposed to speak English. Does this also include writing emails?
I have started a new job this spring and although it still is within a German company, most members of my department are not based in Germany. They are based all around the globe from Asia, over Europe to the US east coast. So 99% of our communication (emails, shared files, online meetings) are in English. I love it!
