@nawala123 in my travels, I can only agree with the Singaporeans but mostly the Indians there who are good in English. The Chinese in Singapore are not good in English, it is hard to talk with them. In Jakarta, we had a hard time communicating, so we use sign language, waheehee.

Sometimes I kinda feel like using English is bothersome when you can just use the vernacular. :))

Do you mean that on Wednesdays you are supposed to speak and work in English? I know it is a hard language to learn.

English is well know to people in my country. Particularly who went to school and had a formal education. But still not spoken during every day conversation except for chatting on social media.

I am a native English speaker, and I think English would be a hard language to learn if it wasn't my first language.

Interesting concept to make one set day of the week an English day where everyone is supposed to speak English. Does this also include writing emails? I have started a new job this spring and although it still is within a German company, most members of my department are not based in Germany. They are based all around the globe from Asia, over Europe to the US east coast. So 99% of our communication (emails, shared files, online meetings) are in English. I love it!

English is necessary, you can communicate to different people around the globe with it. Educate people how important english is so that they will get interest to learn.
